प्रोफ़ेसर चंद्रशेखर बिहार के शिक्षा मंत्री हैं  जाने सभी जानकारी – Professor Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, also known as Chandra, was an Indian-American astrophysicist who made significant contributions to the fields of astrophysics, astronomy, and mathematics. He was born on October 19, 1910, in Lahore, British India (now Pakistan) and passed away on August 21, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Chandrasekhar was the son of a government servant and grew up in Lahore, where he attended school and college. He later moved to Cambridge, England, where he obtained his PhD in astrophysics from Trinity College, Cambridge. His doctoral thesis, which he completed at the age of 20, focused on the theory of white dwarf stars.

Chandrasekhar’s work on white dwarfs led to the discovery of the Chandrasekhar limit, which is the maximum mass of a stable white dwarf star. This limit was later used to explain the behavior of supernovae, which are the explosions that occur at the end of a star’s life. Chandrasekhar’s work on white dwarfs and the Chandrasekhar limit earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1983.

Apart from his work on white dwarfs, Chandrasekhar made significant contributions to several other areas of astrophysics and mathematics. He worked on the theory of black holes, the dynamics of stellar systems, and the equations of stellar structure. He also made important contributions to the field of fluid dynamics, which is the study of the behavior of fluids.

Chandrasekhar’s contributions to astrophysics and mathematics have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In addition to the Nobel Prize, he was awarded the National Medal of Science in 1966 and the Royal Medal of the Royal Society in 1962. He was also elected to several prestigious academies, including the Royal Society, the National Academy of Sciences, and the American Philosophical Society.

Chandrasekhar’s legacy continues to inspire future generations of scientists and researchers. The Chandrasekhar Institute for Theoretical Physics was established in his honor in Bangalore, India, in 2010. The institute is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in theoretical physics and astrophysics.

Moving on to Bihar, it is a state in eastern India, bordered by Nepal to the north, West Bengal to the east, Uttar Pradesh to the west, and Jharkhand to the south. The state has a rich history and culture, dating back to ancient times. It was the center of the Magadha empire, which flourished from around the 6th century BCE to the 4th century BCE
