Key Educational Qualification Qualifications & Qualifying Examination Codes for NEET UG answer: – CODE: 01 –
A candidate who is taking the qualifying examination, i.e., 12 Standard in 2022, and whose results are awaited, may apply and take the test, but he/she will not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if the qualifying examination is not passed with the required pass percentage at the time of the first round of Counselling.
Candidates who have taken or are taking the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as primary subjects and anticipate to pass with the required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply for and take the Competitive Entrance Examination. However, their candidacy will only be considered if they
only if they show documentary proof of passing the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks

CODE: 02 –
The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination after a period of 12 years of study, with the last two years of such study consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the Nation.
Candidates who have completed Class 12 from an Open University
School or private candidates are ineligible to take the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.’ Furthermore, studying Biology/Biotechnology as an Additional Subject at the Class 12 level is not permitted.
*As per Hon’ble High Court Order No. 2341/-W/ DHC/WRIT/ D-1/2019 dated 24/09/2019 in Writ Petition (C) No. 6773/2019, students who have passed Class 12 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible for MBBS Entrance Examination.
If the institute determines that an examination from an Indian University or a foreign university is equivalent to the 12 Class under intermediate science examination, the candidates must produce a certificate from the concerned Indian University/Association of Indian Universities stating that the examination is equivalent.
His/her examination is regarded equivalent to the 12th class under intermediate science examination.

CODE: 03 –
The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (with practical tests in these areas), and English as a compulsory subject.
OR
CODE: 04 –
After passing either the Higher Secondary Test or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination, the Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. Practical tests in these topics, as well as English as a compulsory subject, will be included in the Preprofessional/Pre-medical examination.

CODE: 05 –
The first year of a three-year degree programme at a recognised university that includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, as well as practical examinations in these areas.
The examination is a University Examination, and the candidate has previously passed a qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English at a level not lower than a core course.

B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has completed the B.Sc. Examination with at least two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology and that he/she has passed the previous qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

Any other examination that is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology; which shall include practical test in these subjects)
