Educational Requirements, Qualifying Examination Codes, and NEET (UG) Answer Key: –
CODE: 01 –
A candidate who is scheduled to take the qualifying exam, or the 12th Standard in 2022, and whose results are still pending, may apply and take the test, but he or she will not be qualified for admission to the undergraduate medical programmes if the qualifying exam is not passed with the required pass percentage at the time of the first round of counselling.
Candidates who have taken or are taking the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the primary subjects are also eligible to apply and take the competitive entrance examination if they anticipate passing with the required proportion of marks. They offer written proof that they passed the qualifying exam with the necessary subjects and percentage of marks.

CODE: 02 –
The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to class 12, is given after 12 years of study, with the final two years of study consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the country.

‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’ as private candidates are ineligible to participate. Additionally, it is prohibited to study biology or biotechnology at the Class 12 level as an additional subject.
*According to the Hon’ble High Court Order No. 2341/-W/ DHC/WRIT/ D-1/2019 dated 24/09/2019 in the Writ Petition (C) No. 6773/2019, students who have passed Class 12 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible for the MBBS Entrance Examination.
Candidates must present a certificate from the relevant Indian University or Association of Indian Universities stating that the examination was successful if the institute must consider an examination from an Indian University or from a foreign university to be equivalent to the 12 Class under the intermediate science examination.
He/she is regarded as being on par with the 12th grade in terms of the intermediate science exam.

CODE: 03 –
The Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these topics) and English as a required subject in the Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or any authorised examining body.
OR
CODE: 04 –
After passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent test, candidates must take the Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. English is a required subject in the Preprofessional/Premedical examination, and practical exams in these areas will also be included.

CODE: 05 –
The examination was given in the first year of a three-year degree programme at an accredited university, which included practical assessments in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.
English as well as practical examinations in biology and biotechnology are included.

NEET (UG)-2022 will be used for undergraduate medical and dental programme admissions for all available seats. The seats available under various quotas are as follows:

Central Institutions, Universities, and Deemed Universities: State Government Quota Seats
Seats under the State/Management/NRI Quota in Private Medical/Dental Colleges or Any Private University
Quota Seats at the Central Pool
All seats in private, unassisted, minority- or non-minority-run medical colleges, including the NRI and management quotas.
