Criteria for RPSC Food Safety Officer Eligibility
(i). A degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agriculture Science, Veterinary Sciences, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, or a Masters Degree in Chemistry or a Degree in Medicine from a recognised University; and (ii) has successfully completed training as specified by the Food Authority in a recognised institute or institution approved for the purpose.
(Please keep in mind that there is no requirement for training prior to selection.) During the probation period, the selected candidates will receive this training.)
Provided, however, that no person with a financial interest in the manufacture, importation, or sale of any food article shall be appointed as a Food Commissioner.
